SGT Nicole Roman Otero

SGT Roman joined the Eagle Battalion in Summer 2022 and currently serves as a HR
NCO for Georgia Southern – Armstrong Campus.


Born on September 6,1995 in San Juan, PR, SGT Nicole M. Roman Otero was raised in
Puerto Rico and graduated High School in 2013. SGT Roman enlisted into the Active
Duty Army in January 2018 and completed Basic Training and Advance Individual
Training (AIT) at Fort Jackson, SC, where she was awarded the Military Occupational
Specialty (MOS) 42A Human Resources Specialist.


Upon her completion of AIT, SGT Roman was assigned to 264th CSSB, 3ESC at Fort
Bragg, NC. During her tenure, she served as Finance, Actions and Strength
Management clerk (June 2018-July 2020). While assigned to 264th CSSB, she went to
Washington, DC to Support the 59th Presidential Inauguration (July 2020-February
2021). SGT Roman conducted a rotation to Camp Buehring, Kuwait where she served
as the Essential Personnel Services NCO (EPS).


SGT Roman’s military education includes the Basic Leaders Course and Advance
Individual Training (42A Human Resources Specialist).


SGT Roman’s Awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army
Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global
War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, and Driver’s Badge.
SGT Roman has two children, Juliet and Julian.
