SSG Antwon Shade

Staff Sergeant Antwon L. Shade joined the staff at Eagle Battalion in the summer of 2017. He is from Bloomington, Indiana and entered the Army in 2007 as a 31B (Military Police). He attended basic training and AIT at Fort Leonardwood, MO.

Staff Sergeant Shade has served in a variety of NCO leadership positions including Driver, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Military Police Desk Sergeant and Patrol Supervisor.

Staff Sergeant Shade’s assignments include the 21st MP Co. Ft. Bragg North Carolina, 88 th MP DET. Camp Zama Japan, 554th MP Co. Stuttgart Germany, L.E. operations Basra Iraq, humanitarian and disaster relief Port of Prince Haiti and Tokyo Japan.

Staff Sergeant Shade’s military schools include the Warrior Leadership Course, Advance Leadership Course, Airborne Training, Anti-Terrorism Officer Course Level 2, Operations Security Program Manager Level 2, Combative Level 1, and Combative Level 2.

Staff Sergeant Shade’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal (1 Bronze Star), Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 2), Overseas Ribbon (Numeral 4),and Army Superior Unit Award.
