CPT Dan Chicola is a native of Miami, FL and joined the Georgia Army National Guard as a Combat Medic in 2002. Soon after, he joined the ROTC Program at Georgia Southern and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering through the GTREP Program with Georgia Tech.

CPT Chicola is currently assigned to the Headquarters Company of the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team as the Brigade Engineer Officer. He has completed two Company Commands: first as the Commander of Alpha Company 48th Brigade Special Troops Battalion Combat Engineer Sapper Company and second the Headquarters Company of the 48th Brigade Special Troops Battalion in Statesboro, GA. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2009-2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the Commander of Alpha Company, Combat Engineers Sappers, 48th Brigade Special Troops Battalion. He has held the following Company Positions: Company Commander, Executive Officer, and Platoon Leader. The following Battalion Positions: ASST. Battalion Operations Officer. The following Brigade Positions: Assistant Brigade Engineer. Additionally he deployed to Gulf Port, MS as a Platoon Leader, in support of Hurricane Katrina.

Commissioned from the Eagle Battalion program in DEC 2004 and received a BA in Political Science. Initially assigned to the 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) and deployed with them to Iraq from 2005-2006. Graduated from the Army Logistics Management College (CCC) in 2008. After graduating from CCC, assigned to Fort Riley, KS as a Military Transition Team (MiTT) member. Currently serving a second deployment in Iraq with MiTT and will redeploy in the Spring of 2010.

CPT Rebecca A. Doak is an Active Duty, Airborne qualified MP. She graduated from MP OBC in SEP 2005 and was assigned to the 988th MP CO at Fort Benning, GA as the Platoon Leader of the 1st PLT Punishers. Her platoon deployed to OIF from DEC 05-DEC 06 to conduct the Police Transition Team mission in SE Baghdad, Iskandariyah, and Najaf. In February 07, she became the S1 of the 92d Military Police Battalion (Rear) at Fort Benning, GA and eventually became the S1 (actual) upon the unit’s redeployment. In JUN 08, she assisted in relocating the battalion to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. In NOV 08, she transitioned to the S3 shop of the 92d Military Police Battalion while she waits for an MPCCC date. Hobbies and interests: hiking, kayaking, swimming, horse-back riding, dog training, riding ATVs.

Kemetta Gary was commissioned Dec 2004 as a Military Intelligence officer branch detailed Chemical. Served as the Gold bar recruiter until going to OBC in Fort Leonard wood, MO. Her first assignment was Geibelstadt (Wuerzburg) Germany. She participated in the USAREUR draw down, decreasing the US footprint in Germany and re-basing them to CONUS locations. She served as the CHEMO/S2 for the 5-158th AVN REGT which re-flagged to 2-1 Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Riley , KS. She then served in Support of OIF 07-09 in Tikrit/ Al Asad, Iraq. Attended the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course at Fort Huachucua, AZ, and is currently assigned as the 299th BSB S2 Fort Riley, KS. She enjoys swimming, running at her own pace, and traveling (not on orders).

CPT Jackson received her commission at Fort Lewis, Washington after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics with emphasis in Labor with a minor in Military Science from Georgia Southern University. CPT Jackson also possesses a M.B.A in Financial Management from Northcentral University. She has served as an assistant paralegal, recruiting assistant, S-1, assistant S-4, maintenance platoon leader, support platoon leader, executive officer, and acting company commander. In May of 2007, CPT Jackson affiliated with the National Guard Bureau where she served for as a financial systems analyst with NGB-ASM’s Resources Branch and as a Silver Siege/Active 2 Guard program representative under NGB-ASM’s Officer Management Branch. She is currently assigned as a TAC officer for the GaARNG OCS program on the M-Day side and to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) as the Director of Resources for the GaARNG. CPT Jennifer Jaacks branched Medical Service and is currently a Senior Captain in the Georgia Army National Guard in the 78th Aviation Troop Command as a 67 J (medical evacuation pilot.) She stood up detachment 2, C Co. 1-169 in February 2011 from the ground and joined with other detachments and HHC out of Tennessee and Maryland to deploy to RC-SW Afghanistan (Hemland Province) in 2012. She will soon be handing off her detachment and moving over to the medevac liaison position in the Battalion.

Full time, she has worked directly for National Guard Bureau on the Aviation
Training Assistance Team for the past 5 years.

CPT Jaacks has one daughter, Sophie, who will be turning 4 this July 2013. CPT Jaacks enjoys participating in adventure races and hiking using the land
navigation skills that she acquired while in ROTC.

CPT Craig Anderson commissioned from Georgia Southern’s Eagle Battalion in 2004 and branched Signal Corps. He graduated from SOBC in October 2004 and was assigned to the 29th Signal BN, Fort Lewis, WA. He deployed in support of OIF III, where he served as a Node Center Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer. CPT Anderson returned to Fort Lewis in November 2006, where he served as the Assistant BN S3. He attended the Signal Captains Carrier Course (SCCC) and the BDE/BN s6 Course at Fort Gordon, GA. Upon graduation in November 2008, he received a follow-on assignment to serve as the Operations OIC for the 3rd Infantry Division G6. He served as the SQDN S6 for 3-7 CAV, 2HBCT, 3ID, and commanded the Signal Company for 2nd HBCT, 3ID. CPT Anderson currently serves as the Executive Officer and MS IV Instructor at Georgia Southern. CPT George “Danny” Morrison is currently stationed in Stuttgart, Germany and serving as the Deputy Chief for the Enterprise Services Division of Special Operations Command Africa. After Graduating from Georgia Southern and Commissioning in 2004, he attended the Signal Officer Basic Course at Fort Gordon before his first duty station at Fort Riley Kansas. He spent four years with the 1st Infantry Division; his first assignment in the Big Red One was as a PL and eventually the XO for the 331st Signal Company of the 101st Forward Support Battalion in the 1st Brigade. After inactivating his Company in 2006, he was reassigned as a Battalion S6 for the 2nd Battalion of the 32nd Field Artillery Regiment in the 4th Brigade Combat Team. CPT Morrison deployed with 2-32 FA in 2007 to Baghdad, Iraq and after returning from the deployment he PCSed to Fort Gordon to attend the Signal Captains Career Course (SCCC).

After graduating SCCC, he served four years in the 82nd Airborne Division where he commanded the Division Signal Company for two and a half years after serving as the Company XO, and prior to that, serving as the G6 Rear Detachment OIC. CPT Morrison deployed twice with the 82nd Airborne Division Signal Company to OEF X in RC-E in 2010 and then to OEF XII in RC-S in 2011. He jumped 33 times with the 82nd and earned the Senior Parachutist badge while he was stationed there after graduating from the Army Advanced Airborne School’s Jumpmaster course. CPT Morrison was just selected for Major a few months ago (just waiting on his sequence number now) and will be attending ILE sometime next year.

CPT Morrison and his wife, Sarah, just celebrated their 2nd anniversary and currently do not have any children, dogs, cats or goldfish. While they are
planning a family, they currently are enjoying their freedom in Europe, traveling as much as possible and visiting the many wonderful places throughout that region of the world. CPT Morrison believes everyone should do at least one tour in Europe, as there are SO many wonderful places to visit.

CPT Morrison plans to work on his Master’s Degree while in Germany and is currently working on his German Language Certificate. Besides traveling, he enjoys working on and four wheeling in his Jeep Wrangler, riding his Honda Shadow around the curvy and scenic German roads, snowboarding in the Alps and black forest, and visiting and sampling the numerous breweries and wineries throughout Europe. MAJ Jaime McKillip Simmons graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2003 as a Quartermaster Officer. MAJ Simmons commanded a maintenance company, attended Captain’s Career Course in 2010, and now serves as the Deputy G4 for the 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) at Fort Bragg, NC. In August 2013, she will move across post to the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade as the S4. MAJ Simmons has deployed three times to Iraq and is preparing for her fourth deployment to Kosovo by the beginning of September.
