Pre-Tenure Review
A candidate’s portfolio shall consist of all documentation submitted by the candidate for performance evaluation and all subsequent recommendations and responses to each prior level of review. Pre-Tenure Procedures can be found in the COSM College Manual.
Note: In the event the established deadline falls on a weekend or academic holiday, the date will be extended to the Monday immediately following that date.
Promotion & Tenure Review
Promotion and Tenure Review policies, procedures, notifications, and appeals can be found in the COSM College Manual. The COSM Dossier is required in each portfolio. Candidates may go up for promotion and/or tenure in their 5th or 6th year.
Note: In the event the established deadline falls on a weekend or academic holiday, the date will be extended to the Monday immediately following that date.
Post-Tenure Review
A Candidate’s portfolio shall consist of all documentation submitted by the candidate for performance evaluation and all subsequent recommendations and responses to each prior level of review. Post-Tenure Review procedures can be found in the COSM College Manual. Candidates are required to go up for post-tenure review after 5 full years of service at their present rank.

Lecturer Reviews
As with other faculty, lecturers are reviewed annually and undergo a comprehensive third year review (= renewal). Lecturers are also reviewed in their sixth year to be considered for promotion to senior lecturer. The review for promotion to senior (or principle) lecturer occurs in the fall semester when other promotion reviews occur.
