Professional Development

STEMstars  participate in workshops throughout the year

The program welcomes both STEMstars fellows and partner teachers to campus several times a year to participate in professional development workshops focusing on curriculum design and alignment to Georgia Performance Standards, time management, communication and data analysis.

The STEMstars Spring Symposium  highlights the teams year long progress  and accomplishments during poster  sessions and oral presentations for the academic community.

STEMstars fellow Alyncia Robinson demonstrated her cancer risk game during the STEMstars Spring Workshop. All fellows develop a hands-on activity based on their research to share with all classes during Visiting Scientist month.
