Apply to STEMstars/Molecular Biology Initiative:  Graduate Students

If you would like to be considered as a candidate for admission to the STEMstars program for Fall 2015 you must complete your undergraduate degree by May 2015. Deadlines indicated below will allow for full-program consideration of your application.

  • Complete the Prospective STEMstars Fellow form below and submit it on or before March 1, 2015 or as soon as possible.
  • Complete the Georgia Southern University graduate school application for admission to the biology graduate program. You are strongly encouraged to begin the application process as soon as possible. The Biology department deadline for admission is April 1, 2015. Please visit the Georgia Southern College of Graduate Studies (COGS) site at: https://cogs.georgiasouthern.edu/admission/all-graduate-programs/. The application form is located at: https://cogs.georgiasouthern.edu/admission/start/applynow/  . The COGS deadline is March 1, 2015.
  • You are encouraged to visit the Georgia Southern University campus and speak with the Biology Graduate Program Director, Dr. Checo Colon Gaud and prospective research mentors. To schedule a visit, please contact COGS at 912-478-5384 or email narondawright@georgiasouthern.edu.
  • Appointments should also be scheduled with STEMstars Director, Dr. Laura Regassa, and current STEMstars fellows by contacting the STEMstars Program at 912-478-7524 or lregassa@georgiasouthern.edu.

Selection of STEMstars Program participants will begin after the April 1, 2015 deadline and acceptance notification will be after that deadline.
