Carbon Emissions

Activity Summary
Building sustainable awareness should start at home where activities are familiar to the student. If students become aware of their carbon footprint they may be able to persuade their parents to take action to reduce it. In this activity, students gather their household energy use information by filling out a questionnaire with their parents. The students then use the
information to calculate their household carbon emissions using a calculator on the EPA website.
