Dr. Yan Wu received the B.Sc. in mathematics from Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China, in 1992, and the M.S. in applied mathematics and the Ph.D. in applied mathematics and electrical engineering, from The University of Akron in 1996 and 2000, respectively. He joined the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Georgia Southern University in 2000, and he is currently a full professor of applied mathematics. He is active in supervising Honors Capstone projects and graduate thesis research. His current research interests include adaptive control of nonlinear dynamical systems, active disturbance rejection control, differential algebraic systems, and digital signal processing.
