Heidi has been in the Mathematical Sciences department since 2016. She teaches the mathematics content courses for elementary and SPED undergraduate students. Her research is primarily in deepening mathematics content knowledge for teaching, mentoring students to present at the state mathematics conference, and supporting current teachers to deepen their content knowledge. More recently, she is building connections with the community to provide workshops for parents, to help them better understand some of the K-5 strategies their children are using.
