What can I do with a degree in GeoSciences?
An undergraduate degree in GeoSciences prepares students for work in these fields. The Department’s senior thesis requirement for the B.S. degrees prepares students to conduct research, a skill sought by graduate schools and employers. About 50 percent of GeoSciences graduates pursue advanced study. Others may go into careers such as:
- Teaching
- Mining-exploration
- Environmental consulting
- Government agency work
