About Our Geosciences Program
Degree programs in geosciences offer a broad education in the sciences with special depth in geology and geography. Students in our program work with nationally and internationally known faculty and state-of the-art equipment in our teaching and research labs.
Graduates of our department have a skill-based education with the flexibility to meet changing career demands. Our majors learn relevant skills both in the classroom and via hands-on research with faculty mentors. More broadly, our majors gain a firm understanding of the role of science in society and are able to make informed decisions about geology- and geography-related issues that impact the future.
