A Message from Our Department Chair
Geology and Geography Majors,
The faculty and staff in the Department of Geology and Geography want to let you know that we are here and ready to provide support to help you complete your degree program. The transition to distance education (online learning) is challenging, and we know that you have questions and concerns. Georgia Southern University is committed to providing quality instruction in the online environment. We are confident that you will be able to stay on track and complete your courses this semester.

About Our Department
The Department of Geology and Geography at Georgia Southern University offers courses on both the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. Our focus is to have students learn by discovery. In addition to your general education requirements, you will be immersed in the sciences with specific requirements for Geology and Geography. From mineralogy to field methods to cartography, you can purse your passion.
