Alliance for Women in STEM

The Alliance for Women in STEM Mission is implementation of research-driven activities on campus and in the community in order to raise the participation of women and girls in STEM fields, provide a safe forum for reflection, discussion, development of ideas, and serve as the conduit for sustainable change. Activities include creating time to gather in order to reduce isolation in one’s department or major, dispelling misconceptions about the factors causing women to leave STEM fields, mentoring opportunities, social events and connecting with local professionals in STEM Industry in order to increase the visibility of women in STEM in our campus community.
