Research Interests My research interests include the evolution of social behavior, the chemical ecology of social insects, and the disease ecology of pollinators and invasive species. In particular, I’m interested in the balance between cooperation and conflict within social groups, the evolution of mating systems in the social Hymenoptera, the chemical signals that facilitate and coevolve with social behavior, and the role of species introductions in shaping the disease landscape for native and agriculturally relevant pollinators.
