Dr. Christian Cox, Assistant Professor of Biology,┬áis an author on a┬árecently published paper in Nature Communications titled, “Coral snakes predict the evolution of mimicry across New World snakes”. In this paper, which was published on May 5, 2016, the research team presents the first definitive evidence that the spread of coral snakes throughout the Western Hemisphere over the last 40 million years, drove the distribution of the mimics.
