Where is My Watershed?

Activity Summary
The value of clean water for not only drinking, but ecological preservation is difficult for many students to grasp. This activity focuses on the basic understanding of what a watershed is and how knowing basic information about the area around a watershed can have implications in preventing water pollution. In this activity students will use a local topographical map to
determine the area of their watershed and also discuss potential sources of pollution within this
area.
