Law of Conservation

Activity Summary
In groups of four, students will test the law of conservation using baking soda and vinegar. Students will obtain the mass of vinegar and baking soda and pour the two substances together into a two-liter bottle. After the baking soda has reacted with the vinegar, students will obtain the mass of the products and calculate percent yield. At the end of the lab, students will draw
conclusions on the law of conservation based on data they collected and observed during lab.
