What is the MBI Program?
The MBI Program is funded by the National Science Foundation GK-12 program and is designed to enhance graduate education for students pursuing diverse areas of biological research.
The program offers focused molecular biology training, professional enrichment opportunities, intensive mentoring, and a structured community outreach component to area high schools.
The MBI Program supports fourteen fellows each year who participate in: mentor-directed research and course work, molecular biology courses, professional development, and community outreach, where fellows serve as content experts to seven MBI funded area high school teachers.
