Research and Outreach

Discoveries abound across our Armstrong and Statesboro campuses. Our faculty have a variety of research focus areas across biology, chemistry, physics, geology, geography, mathematics and biochemistry.

Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center

In this joint research venture between Georgia Southern University and the FORAM Foundation, our 4,100-square-foot aquaponics greenhouse brings together students and faculty specializing in biology, chemistry, economics and engineering. Champion sustainable agriculture through our Farm-2-Table Initiative at the Armstrong Campus, or engage the youngest learners at the greenhouse for class field trips.
